~~~My Reflection and Opinions~~~
In this article, there are many examples of the consequences of cyber bullying. Cyber bullying not only occurs in students but also in adults too. It had been proved that harassment over the Internet can turn deadly. Students who cannot tolerate this kind of harassment will tend to commit suicides or do silly things. Phone bullying can also drive one crazy if he/she received, at one point, receive 20 silent calls every 30 minutes. As Internet usage by students has increased dramatically, there could be more and more people suffering from cyber bullying- which includes the sending of threatening messages, posting private messages, pictures, or videos on the Internet. Imagine the pain due to the embarrassment, when hundreds or even thousands of people, including your friends and relatives viewed your private profiles and things. The Internet not only amplify the effect of bullying but also lets people write nasty comments about you with their real identity unknown.
I think that cyber bullying is rather common nowadays and that all should take precaution and know how to get rid of this threatening problem to avoid putting more people's life in danger. I think that laws should be passed to make annoy, bully, abuse, threaten, or harass people over the Internet a federal crime, so that less people would be targeted. All websites and portals should be forced to keep track of people's identities who post contents that will keep all online problems at bay. As curiosity kills the cat, young students may learn bad things when they surf the net as they think that there is a wide and whole lot variety of information they will have to know and must not know. The government should urge all people not to misuse the Internet to do bad things as it can be offensive. They should also setup organisations which will hold programmes at schools, offices, community centres, or RCs to teach them about the danger and cons when they are online. This is to prevent them from being too relied on the Internet which may eventually trapped them in the dangerous and mysterious cyber world.
