This article is talking about Susana Trimarco who set out to search for her missing daughter, Marita. All these began on April 3, 2002, when Marita did not return home from her doctor’s appointment. Marita owns a apartment but she treats Susana’s house like a second home. As the day went by, Susana and her husband became worried and they went to their local police station to report a missing person case. But the policeman told them that only after 72 hrs then they could file a missing person report. But Susana was determined and formed a search party to search for her daughter. Few days later, Susana received a call and the man on the phone told her that he saw a red car pulled up near Marita. Two men jumped out and pushed her into the car when Marita struggled. It got worse when the received a news that Marita was seen in a brothel. After many pleas from Susana, the police took action and raided the brothel. But Marita wasn’t there. Susana then realized that she could only find her daughter by doing it alone. Thus, she often disguised as prostitutes and ventured into seedy bars showing pictures of Marita to prostitutes there to get hold of any information. But she was constantly disrupted from doing so because the police were trying to stop her from doing that. But she was very determined and never gave up. Along the way, she helped many girls who were forced into prostitution

From this story, I realize that a mother’s love could be so noble and strong as Susana did almost everything just to find her daughter, Marita. She was indeed incredible when she disguised as a prostitute and entered into brothels asking prostituted there for any information of Marita. And because of what she had done, it made her endanger her life on many accounts of people from the underworld trying to harm her. I feel that she is very daring as she wasn’t afraid at all. In search of her daughter, Susana also saved many girls who were forced into prostitution. It shows that she is also a caring person and pities others who maybe more unlucky than her daughter. I feel that those girls who have to abort their babies using a coat hanger are very pitiful because they have to undergo pain and trauma. I feel that those people who forced those girls into prostitution are very cruel because they destroyed those girls bright future. In Singapore, it seems very unlikely to have such things happening. But who knows? Maybe in the near future, these things might even happen. I feel that a message is sent in this article, is that everyone needs to know how to protect themselves and others too. I feel that Susana has a motherly image or seen as a heroine to those girls who were saved by her. Because their freedom and fate of their life changed because her actions.
